Brenda Hogue-Moore

Brenda Lee Hogue-Moore passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 10, 2026, at Mount Carmel East Hospital, surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 30, 1949, in Columbus, Ohio, to Albert and Dorothy Clark, who preceded her in death.
Under her mother’s guidance, Brenda discovered a love of cooking. She shared that love through her work at The Ohio State University’s Fawcett Center for 30 years, until her retirement. Both outspoken and generous, Brenda could often be found spending her days cooking her favorite foods and desserts, doing puzzles, playing her favorite slots games, or spending time with her family, passing out advice and gifts in equal measure.
Brenda was also preceded in death by her husband, Leslie Moore; her daughter, Taunya Hogue; and her nephew, Brent Clark Sr.
She is survived by her brother, Michael Clark; her sisters, Sandra Clark and Lisa Massey; her son, Christopher (Karla) Hogue; her niece and second daughter, Erica Hawkins and grandniece Alaina; her grandchildren, Kendall, Kimberlynn, and Keyshawn; and her great-granddaughter, Yara.
In lieu of a funeral, Brenda requested that those who knew her celebrate her life instead. Join the family as we celebrate her at her favorite place, Hollywood Casino in Columbus on Saturday, October 24th at 6pm.
