Elisha Simpkins, "Joe", age 72, passed away peacefully at home July 4, 2013. Veteran of U. S. Army. Retired from Buckeye Steel. Survived by wife, Vergie; sons, Elisha T., Johnnie (Tracy), and Ronnie (Alice); daughters, Flarie Simpkins (Tim Silcott), and Vergie McNeil (James Scott); 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many friends. Visitation 3-5 p.m. Sunday at COOK & SON - PALLAY FUNERAL HOME, 1631 Parsons Ave. and then 6-8 p.m. Monday at the Ole Time Freewill Baptist Church, 9784 Picway Rd., Lockbourne, OH, where funeral service will be 10 a.m. Tuesday. Reverend Don Estep officiating. Interment Obetz Cemetery.
