Richard Lewis Lynch, Jr

RICHARD LEWIS LYNCH JR., affectionately known as Ricky, was born to Richard Lewis Lynch Sr. and Ebelvia (Evans) Lynch, on September 9, 1954, in Columbus, Ohio. He gained his wings on March 20, 2024. Ricky loved the Lord, being baptized at the Macedonia Baptist Church at an early age. He later joined New Jerusalem Baptist Church where he remained a faithful member until he was called home to be with the Lord. Ricky was educated in the Columbus public school system, graduating from Linden McKinley High school in 1972. Ricky's love for fashion led him to pursue his passion. He attended Bliss College in Portland, Oregon where he obtained a BA in Fashion Design. He was known for his exceptional work as a tailor, creating beautiful dresses and other fashionable items for his friends and family. Ricky loved to line dance and would burn up the dance floor with his moves. He also loved to sew, as evidenced by his numerous creations, attend church, and spend time with his dog Gideon.
Ricky was preceded in death by his parents Richard Sr. and Ebelvia Lynch, and brothers Frederick Times and Carl W. Times.
He leaves to cherish his memory sisters, Shirley Alexander, and Carla Lynch-Sowell. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends and special friend, Reverend Keith Smith.
Visitation will be held on April 10, 2024 at New Jerusalem Baptist Church located at 2121 Joyce Avenue in Columbus from 11:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. with funeral service immediately following. Reverend Pastor Marcus L. Martin officiating. Interment Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
