In Loving Memory of Rita Messer

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Rita Messer on September 17th 2026, a beautiful soul who was taken from this world far too soon at the age of 52.

Rita was truly one of a kind—a spitfire with a heart of gold. From a young age, she carried a personality that could never be duplicated. She was artistic, creative, full of life, and had a way of leaving an imprint on the heart of everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Her smile could light up an entire room, and her laughter was the kind you could still hear in your mind hours after she was gone. Rita loved deeply, lived boldly, and brought a presence with her wherever she went. She wasn’t someone you simply met—she was someone you remembered.

Above everything else, Rita loved her family. Her children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces, nephews, and extended family were woven into the story of her life, and the love she gave them will continue long after her passing.

Rita was preceded in death by her mother, Rita Marcum; her father, Larry Messer; Step Mother, Tracey Messer; her brother, Larry S. Messer; her son, Lawrence Denbow; and her husband, Donald Robar.

She leaves behind her loving children: son Kalum Messer; daughter Jamie (Thomas) Rudolph, and grandchildren Autaleania, Annastasia, Mistie, Zayden, Morgan, and Penelope; daughter Cheerakee (Doug) Taulbee, and grandchildren Atira Boyles and Aven Anderson; and son Donald Robar Jr.

Survived by loving Step Father; Robert (Bobby) Marcum

Rita is also survived by her sisters, Shawna Messer, Dolly (David) McNamara, Felicia Messer, Bobbie Jo Marcum, Karissa (Dustin) Hunt, and Maggie (Ricky) Persinger; and her brothers, Larry E. Messer and Travis Messer.

She also leaves behind several beloved nieces and nephews, along with many great-nieces and great-nephews who will carry her memory with them.

At only 52 years old, Rita’s time here was far too short, but the love she gave cannot be measured by years. It lives in her children. It lives in her grandchildren. It lives in the stories her family will tell, in the memories that will make them laugh through their tears, and in all the little pieces of her that will continue through the generations she leaves behind.

Rita was a daughter, a sister, a wife, a mother, a grandmother, an aunt, and a friend—but most importantly, she was unforgettable.

There will never be another Rita.

Though our hearts ache because she is no longer here with us, we will carry her love, her laughter, her beautiful spirit, and that unforgettable fire within her everywhere we go.

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever remembered.

Rest peacefully, Rita.
Your beautiful soul left an imprint on this world that time will never erase.
