Robert Carpenter, age 71, was called home on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at his home. He was a previous employee of Borchers and Nationwide, and a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserves. He loved Elvis, OSU football and basketball, and the Rocky movies. Preceded in death by parents Vernon and Evelyn Carpenter and brother Vernon Carpenter. Survived by daughter, Angela Carpenter; son, Robert Carpenter, Jr.; grandchildren, Alisha Purvis, Megan Carpenter, Kayln Boyd, Jonathan Smyers, and Elias Bencosine; great-grandchild, Jakobi Kendall Lewis; nieces, Ulee and Leenah; nephews, Kendall Stark, Keith Rogers, and Jimmy Rogers; and sister-in-law, Sicha Carpenter. A Celebration of Life will be held at Hilltop Church of God, 635 Whitethorne Ave., Columbus, 43223 at 6:30 P.M. Thursday, July 13, 2023.
