Rose (Masucci) Pallay

Rose Pallay, age 94, passed from this life to eternal life Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Wexner Heritage House.

Born March 6, 1922 in Guardiaregia, Italy to Pasquale and Mariantonia Masucci, she came to this country as a young child. She worked at University Hospital for many years, and helped in the office of her son's funeral home well into her nineties. She was very devoted to her Catholic faith, a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish for almost 60 years, sang in the choir, and was a daily communicant until her health failed.

Preceded in death by her husband William.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Dan; her daughter, Charlotte Jett; grandchildren, Andy, Steve, and Katie Jett; great-grandchildren, Ella and Alec; brothers and sisters-in-law, Nicholas and Lynn Masucci, and James and Patti Masucci; many nieces and nephews.

According to Rose's wishes, there will be no viewing. Her Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:30 a.m. Saturday, June 4 at St. Thomas Church, 2692 E. Fifth Ave., with a luncheon to follow in the church basement. Interment later with her husband at St. Joseph Cemetery.
