William Crockett, born on March 19, 1943, in Jamaica, bid us farewell on December 5, 2025. A compassionate soul and a beacon of reliability, William's life was a testament to his dedication and thoughtfulness. He was the personification of the quote by William Arthur Ward, “A warm smile is the universal language of kindness.” Indeed, William filled the world around him with warmth and kindness, whether through a handshake, a fist bump, or a simple wave accompanied by his ever-present smile.
William resided in Columbus, Ohio, where he was a resident . His dedication to his work with Sterling Staffing at the Ohio Expo Center was unparalleled. He was not merely an employee; he was a friend, a confidant, a helping hand always ready to ensure everyone's day was going well. His job wasn't only his occupation; it was his platform to spread positivity "Helping anyone that needs help.” As someone wisely said, "Those who bring sunshine into the lives of others cannot keep it from themselves," William’s radiant positivity touched everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
William leaves behind his loving wife, Mary Chappell Crockett, who was not only his life partner but his best friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his child. His legacy will continue to live on in the hearts and memories of all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 12:00 pm EST at the Cook & Son Funeral Home & Crematory, 1631 Parsons Ave, Columbus, Ohio, 43207.
