William Theodore Rose

–

Groveport, Ohio

William “Bill” Theodore Rose, age 56, reunited with his beloved wife in Heaven on October 17, 2026. Bill was born on June 27, 1970 in Columbus, Ohio, to Theresa Nadine (née Fraley) and Theodore Rose. Bill grew up in Obetz and graduated from Hamilton Township High School. He worked for the State of Ohio for many years before retiring to care for his wife and mother.

He made the best decision of his life on April 25, 1998, when he married Patricia “Patty” Rose (née Hosman). They were blessed with two biological children: a son, Liam; and a daughter, Lauren. As the years passed, Patty and Bill “adopted” a few amazing children: Austin Randolph, Jeff Gullion, and Lindsey Beck. They made many happy memories. Bill loved celebrating the holidays with his children, often going all out on Halloween.

Bill cherished the title of “Uncle Bill,” and cherished those who called him that even more. Bill was a beloved cousin and brother to many. Bill would have been most comfortable on a farm, surrounded by thick forests and many dogs. He enjoyed gardening and canning what he grew; he enjoyed fishing; he prided himself in his cooking and collected many vintage cookbooks written specifically by “church ladies.” Thanks to his wife, Bill was a fan of Marvel and DC shows and movies.

Bill is survived by his daughters, Lauren Rose and Lindsey Beck; sons, Liam Rose, Austin Randolph, and Jeff Gullion; cherished aunt, Joan Tinker; brother, Terry (Michael May) Rose; “adopted” sister, Marlene (Derek) Brumfield; niece, Morgan Roberson (Eric); nephews, Andrew Crabtree, Tony (Hannah) Brumfield, and Shawn (Melissa) Brumfield; as well as many beloved cousins.

Bill always said that his family had attended enough funerals. Per his wishes, there will be no funeral. A memorial will be held at a later date.
